Contemporary Realism

Victoria Mauldin Art

I started painting as a teenager, took college courses, and untold workshops. The last 20 years have been devoted to daily art activities. It is my passion and purpose.

I am always in awe as I watch animals in their natural habitats and as they  interact with one another. I feel honored to paint them.

The Southwest is steeped in the history and spiritual influences of the Native American culture.  I have great respect for the beauty found in all cultures and try to always portray that beauty in the most respectful way.

NEW SERIES!  I have begun a series of paintings based in magical realism and inquiry.  They remain true to my style and  subject matter,  while asking questions instead of story telling.

Western  landscapes, the sky, the sunsets are so spectacular  that they are meditative and beg to be painted.  History abounds in still life subjects  everywhere you look.
